With one week to go to Swaziland’s biggest annual party, we are all getting really excited about Bushfire. We’ve been privileged to get an inside look at some of the preparations. Swazi Trails director, Darron Raw, has volunteered his time as a Bushfire Committee member and will be looking after the entrance gate area, whilst the Swazi Trails office (Nikki, Lelo and Roz) have been hard at work processing online ticket sales and Bushfire accommodation bookings.
Our online e-commerce site – www.swazi.travel is one of two channels for online Bushfire tickets sales. The other is Computicket in South Africa. Already, with 6 days still to go we are 50% up on total online sales for 2010, so this year is certainly going to be a cracker. Last year tickets sales at the gate were halted on Saturday, after the maximum number of visitors was reached… so take it from us – BUY YOUR TICKET IN ADVANCE !
There are also a few other good sense (and cents) reasons to buy your ticket ahead of arrival. For one, tickets are cheaper. Below are the online ticket sale prices.
- Full Festival Pass – ZAR 600.00pp
- Full Festival VIP Pass – ZAR 950.00pp
- One day Tickets – Friday ZAR 150.00, Saturday ZAR 200.00, Sunday ZAR 150.00.
- One day VIP Tickets – Friday ZAR 350.00, Saturday ZAR 400.00, Sunday ZAR 350.00
Tickets in all categories will be ZAR 50.00 more expensive at the door.
All just another tip (in these tight economic times) tickets through swazi.travel are cheaper than Computicket as well.
Two, if your are wanting one of the the special VIP tickets, with access to the Golden Lounge area (private bar, waiter service, private toilets, Malandela’s restaurant menu, great view of the stage) then grab then now. This area has limited space… and so far we have sold more of these tickets than any other ticket category. We reckon they will sell out before the gate even opens.
